How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the boiler from the mains and gas supply before any internal inspection. Gas work must be done by a qualified engineer.
- Check other gas appliances: If they also fail or burn weakly, contact your gas supplier.
- Reset the boiler: Perform a reset according to the manual. If the fault recurs, do not keep resetting.
- Engineer checks:
- Measure inlet and burner gas pressures and adjust or replace the gas valve as needed.
- Inspect and clean the burner and combustion chamber.
- Check the flame sensing electrode and lead; replace if damaged or readings are low.
- Verify PCB flame detection circuitry and replace PCB if necessary.
