Boiler cycles on and off frequently with short run times, rooms do not reach set temperature comfortably

Safety: Control adjustments do not usually require opening the boiler, but always follow the user manual.

• Thermostat location: Ensure the room thermostat or Hoval room unit is not near heat sources, direct sunlight, or draughts. Relocate if necessary.
• Adjust heating curve: On weather-compensated Hoval systems, lower the heating curve slightly so the boiler runs longer at lower output.
• Increase hysteresis: If available, increase the temperature differential on the room thermostat to reduce rapid cycling.
• If cycling remains excessive, a heating engineer may need to add system volume (buffer tank) or adjust boiler parameters.
