How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and close water valves before removing DHW components.
- Check DHW setpoint: Verify the DHW temperature setting on the IBC control is appropriate (often 120–140°F / 49–60°C).
- Clean inlet filters: Sediment on cold water inlet filters can reduce flow and cause temperature swings. Clean as needed.
- Descale plate exchanger: In hard water areas, the DHW plate heat exchanger can scale up. A professional can isolate and flush it with descaling solution.
- Flow rate: Avoid exceeding the boiler's maximum DHW flow rate by opening too many taps at once.
If issues persist, a technician should test the DHW sensor and gas input to ensure the boiler can reach rated DHW output.
