Possible Causes
Blocked condensate trap, Frozen or kinked condensate line, Faulty condensate float switch, Improper condensate neutralizer installation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power before working on the condensate system. Condensate is mildly acidic; wear gloves and eye protection.
- Inspect condensate trap: Locate the condensate trap at the base of the IBC boiler. Remove and clean it of sludge, debris, or scale. Flush with clean water.
- Check drain line: Follow the condensate line to its termination. Ensure it is not kinked, frozen, or blocked. Clear any obstructions.
- Examine float switch: If your model uses a condensate float switch, verify it moves freely and the wiring is intact.
- Prime trap: After cleaning, refill the trap with water before restarting the boiler to maintain the seal.
After reassembly, restore power and reset the error. If E13 persists, the float switch or related wiring may need replacement by a technician.
