Possible Causes
Stuck DHW flow switch, Blocked DHW inlet filter, Failed flow sensor, Incorrect wiring to flow device
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Shut off power and close the cold water supply to the boiler before servicing DHW components.
- Clean inlet filter: Remove and clean the cold water inlet filter screen to the IBC combi boiler. Sediment can prevent proper flow detection.
- Check flow switch/sensor: Locate the DHW flow switch or turbine sensor. Inspect for scale buildup or debris. Clean or replace as needed.
- Verify wiring: Ensure the low-voltage harness to the flow device is secure and undamaged.
- Test operation: Restore water and power, then open a hot tap. Observe if the boiler recognizes flow and attempts to fire.
If E15 persists, the flow switch/sensor may need replacement. A technician should confirm correct part selection and installation.
