Possible Causes

Faulty DHW flow sensor/turbine, Stuck diverter valve in heating position, Blocked plate heat exchanger, Cold inlet filter blocked

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Hot water can suddenly become very hot; be cautious when testing taps.

User checks:

  • Check tap flow: Ensure good cold water flow at the kitchen tap. If cold flow is poor, there may be a mains supply issue.
  • Check boiler display: When a hot tap is opened, the boiler should show a hot water demand symbol. If it does not, the DHW flow sensor may not be detecting flow.
  • Reset: Power cycle and reset the boiler once.

Engineer tasks: Clean or replace the DHW flow sensor/turbine, clean or replace the plate heat exchanger, and check the diverter valve operation.
