Possible Causes
Damaged main PCB, Loose low-voltage connections, Incorrect polarity or missing earth, Surge damage from mains supply
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate the boiler from the mains before accessing the control board. Only qualified personnel should replace electronic control boards.
- Power cycle: Turn off the boiler at the isolator for 2–3 minutes, then restore power to clear transient faults.
- Check supply polarity and earth: Verify that live, neutral, and earth are correctly connected and secure at the boiler terminal block. Incorrect polarity can cause control faults.
- Inspect PCB connections: Remove the front cover and check all multi-pin connectors on the PCB for secure fit and signs of overheating or moisture ingress.
- Look for visible PCB damage: Burn marks, swollen components, or corrosion indicate board failure. In such cases, replace the PCB with the exact Immergas part number.
- Surge protection: If the fault followed a storm or power surge, consider installing an external surge protector to protect the new board.
- Commissioning: After PCB replacement, configure boiler parameters (if required) according to the Immergas service manual and test all functions.
