Possible Causes
Insufficient system pressure, Faulty water pressure sensor, Leak in heating circuit, Blocked or kinked pressure sensor tube
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Allow the boiler to cool before topping up pressure. Do not over-pressurise the system.
- Check pressure gauge: If the gauge reads below the recommended level (typically 1.0 bar cold), top up using the filling loop until within range.
- Bleed radiators: After topping up, bleed all radiators and the boiler's air vent, then re-check and adjust pressure.
- Inspect for leaks: Look for visible leaks on radiators, valves, and under the boiler. Repair any leaks found.
- Check pressure sensor: Locate the pressure sensor on the hydraulic block. Ensure its connector is secure and that any connecting tube is not blocked. If the sensor reading on the display does not match the mechanical gauge, replace the pressure sensor.
- Monitor pressure: After repair, monitor system pressure over several days. If it drops again, further leak investigation or expansion vessel checks may be required.
