How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Danger: A persistent burning smell can indicate fire risk. Act promptly.
- Initial use: A slight smell on first use of a new boiler or after summer can be normal as dust burns off. This should disappear after a short time.
- If smell is strong or persistent: Turn off the boiler at the fused spur immediately.
- Check for visible smoke: If you see smoke, evacuate the area and call emergency services.
- Engineer inspection: A qualified engineer must inspect internal components (pump, fan, PCB, wiring) for overheating or damage and replace any affected parts.
