How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Danger: Water leaks can damage electrical components and the building. Isolate power before approaching the boiler. Do not remove the boiler case yourself.
- Turn off power: Switch off the boiler at the fused spur to prevent electrical hazards.
- Turn off water if leak is heavy: Close the cold water isolation valve to the boiler and, if necessary, the main stopcock to limit damage.
- Contain the leak: Place a tray or towels under the boiler to catch drips.
- Do not ignore: Even small leaks can corrode the heat exchanger and PCB over time.
- Engineer actions: The engineer will remove the case, identify the leak source (plate heat exchanger, primary heat exchanger, automatic air vent, or fittings), and replace the faulty component or reseal joints.
