Possible Causes
Open circuit CH return NTC sensor, Shorted CH return NTC sensor, Loose NTC connector on PCB, Faulty main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Warning: Internal sensor and PCB checks must be carried out by a competent engineer. Do not remove the boiler cover.
- Attempt a reset: Use the reset function on the boiler control panel. If the error returns, the sensor circuit is likely defective.
- Check system pressure and flow: Low pressure or no circulation can cause abnormal temperature readings. Ensure pressure is 1.0–1.5 bar and that radiators heat evenly when the boiler runs (if it will run).
- Engineer diagnosis: A technician will measure the CH return NTC resistance, inspect the wiring harness, reseat connectors, and replace the return NTC sensor or PCB as required.
