Possible Causes
Faulty cold inlet NTC (if fitted), Faulty DHW flow sensor assembly, Wiring fault between sensor and PCB, PCB input failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Warning: This involves internal sensors on the DHW circuit. Only a qualified engineer should access them.
- Confirm symptom: Note whether the error occurs only on hot water demand or also during heating. This helps the engineer identify which sensor is affected.
- Check inlet filters and strainers: Ensure good cold water flow to the boiler. Clean any external strainers or filters on the cold inlet (if accessible) after isolating water supply.
- Reset boiler: Reset and test again. If code 13 recurs, do not continue to cycle power repeatedly; call an engineer.
- Engineer tasks: The engineer will test the relevant NTC or flow sensor, check wiring continuity, and replace the DHW flow sensor or cold inlet NTC as required.
