Possible Causes
Unstable gas supply pressure, Blocked or partially blocked flue, Faulty gas valve modulation, Faulty flame sensor or PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Danger: This is a combustion-related fault. Only a Gas Safe engineer should investigate internal causes.
- Observe pattern: Note whether the boiler runs for a short time then shuts down with code 22, and whether it restarts automatically or locks out.
- Check gas supply stability: If other gas appliances also cut out or burn weakly, contact your gas supplier.
- Check ventilation and flue: Ensure vents around the boiler are not blocked and the external flue terminal is clear.
- Engineer diagnosis: The engineer will check gas inlet pressure, burner pressure, flue integrity, flame sensor signal, and PCB operation.
