How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Warning: Fan and flue safety components are critical. Do not remove the case or flue. Only a qualified engineer may work on them.
- Check flue terminal: From outside, ensure the flue outlet and air intake are not obstructed by debris, snow, or vegetation.
- Reset boiler: Try a single reset. If code 23 returns, do not continue resetting.
- Listen to fan: If you hear grinding or unusual noises from the boiler when it attempts to start, mention this to the engineer.
- Engineer tasks: The engineer will test the fan speed feedback, air pressure switch (if present), flue integrity, and replace the fan assembly if necessary.
