How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Warning: Electrical work inside the boiler must only be carried out by a competent engineer. Risk of electric shock.
- Power cycle: Turn off power at the fused spur for 30 seconds, then restore. If the display remains blank or shows code 28 again, the PCB may be faulty.
- Check external power: Confirm the fused spur is on and the fuse is intact. Test the socket with another appliance if possible.
- Look for water leaks: Visually inspect around and under the boiler for leaks that may have dripped onto internal components. If you see water, turn off power and water and call an engineer immediately.
- Engineer tasks: The engineer will test supply voltage, inspect PCB for damage, check connectors, and replace the main PCB if necessary.
