Possible Causes
Faulty diverter valve motor (if fitted), Stuck diverter valve, Faulty DHW flow sensor, PCB control fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Warning: Diverter valves and internal DHW controls are inside the boiler. Only a qualified engineer should access them.
- Check symptom: Note whether heating works but hot water does not, or vice versa. This helps pinpoint diverter issues.
- Run hot water tap: Open a hot tap fully and see if the boiler responds. If it does not, the DHW flow sensor or diverter control may be faulty.
- Reset boiler: Reset once. If code 60 returns, call an engineer.
- Engineer actions: The engineer will test the DHW flow sensor, inspect and exercise the diverter valve, and replace the diverter motor or valve body if stuck.
