How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate power before accessing the fan. Combustion components must be resealed correctly after service.
Steps:
- Listen to determine if the noise is from the fan area at the top of the boiler.
- A technician should remove the fan assembly, check for debris, and ensure the impeller is intact.
- If bearings are noisy or there is excessive play, replace the fan assembly.
- Check the flue system for blockages or incorrect installation that may stress the fan.
