Possible Causes
Faulty flow NTC sensor, Damaged sensor wiring or connector, Water ingress into sensor harness, PCB input fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate power before accessing internal components. Allow boiler to cool.
Steps for technician:
- Locate the flow temperature NTC sensor on the primary flow pipe inside the IVT boiler.
- Inspect the connector and wiring for corrosion, loose pins, or damage. Clean and reseat the connector.
- Measure the resistance of the NTC at a known water temperature and compare with IVT resistance tables.
- If readings are out of range or intermittent, replace the flow NTC sensor.
- If the sensor is correct, test the PCB sensor input; replace the control board if confirmed faulty.
Homeowners should not attempt to replace sensors unless competent and allowed by local regulations.
