Possible Causes
Failed fan motor, Seized fan bearings, No power from PCB to fan, Faulty fan speed feedback signal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate power before accessing the fan or PCB. Combustion components must be handled by a qualified engineer.
Technician steps:
- Check for 230 V (or specified) supply to the fan when a heat demand is present.
- If supply is present but the fan does not run, replace the fan assembly.
- If no supply, test the PCB fan relay or triac and control signals.
- Inspect the fan impeller for obstruction and ensure it spins freely.
- Verify the fan speed feedback (tachometer) signal to the PCB; replace fan if feedback is missing or erratic.
