Possible Causes
Open or short-circuited flow NTC sensor, Damaged sensor wiring, Poor connection at PCB, Sensor not seated correctly in pocket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate electrical power before removing the front cover or accessing wiring.
User checks:
- Attempt a reset from the control panel. If E06 returns immediately, a sensor fault is likely and requires an engineer.
Engineer checks:
- Locate the flow NTC sensor on the Keston primary flow pipe. Inspect the plug and wiring for damage or corrosion; reseat the connector.
- Measure resistance of the NTC at known water temperature and compare with Keston resistance tables. Replace if readings are out of range or unstable.
- Check continuity of the wiring harness between the sensor and the main PCB.
- Ensure the sensor is fully inserted into its pocket and has good thermal contact (use heat transfer paste if specified by Keston).
