Possible Causes
Loose mains connection, Blown internal fuse, Faulty main PCB, Incorrect polarity or no earth
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate the boiler at the fused spur before removing the case. Electrical work must comply with local regulations.
User checks:
- Check that the boiler's fused spur is switched on and the fuse has not blown.
- Verify that the household consumer unit has not tripped.
Engineer checks:
- Inspect the mains terminal block inside the Keston boiler for tight connections and signs of overheating.
- Check and replace any internal fuses on the PCB with the correct rating if blown, and investigate the cause.
- Verify correct polarity, voltage, and earth at the boiler supply.
- If supply is correct but the boiler remains dead or shows E15, test and replace the main PCB as necessary.
