Possible Causes
Seized circulation pump on Klimosz boiler, Blocked pump impeller, Closed isolation valves, Blocked system filter or dirt separator
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate power and allow the boiler to cool. Some water spillage is possible when opening pump housings.
- Check valves: Ensure the flow and return isolation valves under the boiler are fully open.
- Listen for pump: Call for heat and listen. A humming noise without water movement suggests a stuck rotor.
- Free the pump: Turn off power, close isolation valves, and remove the pump’s front screw (if fitted). Insert a screwdriver to manually turn the shaft. Remove any debris and reassemble.
- Clean system filter: If your Klimosz installation has a magnetic or mesh filter on the return, isolate and clean it thoroughly.
- Test again: Restore power and call for heat. If E10 persists or the pump is noisy/overheating, replace the circulation pump.
