Possible Causes
Blocked or undersized flue on Klimosz boiler, Sooted heat exchanger, Faulty flue gas temperature sensor, Incorrect burner adjustment causing high flue temps
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Risk of flue gas spillage. Turn off the boiler and ventilate the area.
- Inspect flue: Check the entire flue route for blockages, crushed sections, or incorrect slope. Ensure terminal is clear.
- Clean heat exchanger: Remove the burner and access the primary heat exchanger. Brush and vacuum soot and deposits from the fins and passages according to Klimosz service instructions.
- Check flue gas sensor: Locate the flue gas NTC sensor on the flue outlet. Inspect wiring and measure resistance. Replace if out of specification.
- Combustion check: Burner gas/air ratio should be checked and adjusted with a flue gas analyzer by a qualified technician. Do not adjust gas valve without proper equipment.
- Restart: After cleaning and checks, reset the boiler and monitor flue temperature readings if available.
