Possible Causes
Stuck diverter valve on Klimosz combi boiler, Faulty diverter motor/actuator, Scale or debris in valve body, Broken valve spindle
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and isolate water supplies before removing any hydraulic components.
- Check actuator movement: With the front panel removed, call for DHW and then heating. Observe the diverter motor; it should move fully between positions. If it does not move or chatters, the actuator may be faulty.
- Free the valve: Remove the actuator and manually move the valve spindle with pliers. If it is stiff or seized, the valve body is scaled or blocked.
- Flush system: If heavy debris is present, flush the heating circuit and consider installing a magnetic filter on the return to the Klimosz boiler.
- Replace components: Replace the diverter valve cartridge or complete valve assembly if the spindle is damaged or leaking.
- Test DHW and heating: After reassembly, run both DHW and heating to confirm correct switching and stable temperatures.
