Boiler displays E08; heating elements do not energize even though pump may run

Safety first: Isolate the boiler from the mains and verify with a tester that no voltage is present before touching internal components.

Steps to check:

• Visual inspection of elements: Remove the access panel to the heating elements. Look for burnt connections, discoloration, or signs of water leakage around the element flange.
• Check wiring: Ensure all element wires are firmly attached and that insulation is intact. Tighten any loose terminals.
• Continuity test: With power off and wires disconnected from the element, measure resistance across each heating element. An infinite reading indicates a failed element that must be replaced.
• Inspect relays/contactors: Check the power relays or contactors on the control board or power module for signs of burning or mechanical failure.
• Replace faulty parts: Replace any open-circuit heating element with a genuine Kospel element of the correct rating. Reassemble and test.

When to call a technician: Replacement of high-power elements and relays should be performed by a qualified technician due to the risk of electric shock and fire.
