Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the boiler from mains power before removing the front panel or control panel.
Steps to check:
- Inspect communication cable: Locate the low-voltage cable connecting the main control board to the user interface or room controller. Check for damage, pinched sections, or loose plugs.
- Reseat connectors: Unplug and firmly reinsert the connectors at both ends to ensure good contact.
- Check for moisture: Look for signs of condensation or water ingress on the control panel and main board. Dry thoroughly and address any leaks.
- Test with basic panel: If available, connect a basic Kospel control panel directly to the boiler to rule out external controller issues.
- Power cycle: Restore power and see if E12 clears. If not, one of the PCBs may be defective.
When to call a technician: PCB diagnosis and replacement should be performed by an authorized Kospel service technician.
