Possible Causes

Leaking safety valve, Corroded heat exchanger, Loose union on pump or manifold, Dripping automatic air vent

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Switch off power and close isolation valves. Place a container or towels under the boiler to catch water.

Steps to check:

  • Identify leak source: Remove the front cover and trace the leak upward to its origin if possible.
  • Check safety valve: If water is discharging from the safety valve outlet, system pressure may be too high or the valve may be faulty.
  • Tighten unions: Carefully tighten any slightly loose compression or union fittings around the pump and manifolds.
  • Inspect air vent: If the automatic air vent is leaking from the cap, ensure the cap is slightly open (for venting) but not cracked. Replace if defective.

When to call a technician: Suspected heat exchanger leaks or persistent dripping require professional repair or replacement.
