Possible Causes
Dirty flame sensor, Weak igniter, Low gas pressure, Faulty gas valve or control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Treat E01 as a combustion-related fault. Turn off power and gas before removing burner components.
- Clean flame sensor: Remove and clean the flame rod with fine abrasive pad as described earlier.
- Inspect igniter: Check for cracks or damage and replace if suspect.
- Check gas supply basics: Confirm gas valve is open and other gas appliances work.
- Reset once: After cleaning and inspection, reset the boiler. If E01 returns, stop and call a technician.
When to call a professional: Further diagnosis of E01 requires gas pressure and combustion testing.
