Possible Causes
Failed fan motor, Faulty fan speed sensor (Hall sensor), Loose fan connector, Defective main PCB fan driver
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate electrical power and gas. Fan and flue components are part of the sealed combustion circuit and must only be serviced by a competent engineer.
- Observe start-up: On a heat demand, listen for the fan. If there is no sound at all, the fan may not be receiving power or is failed.
- Check for error history: Some Main models allow viewing of error history; repeated E10 indicates a persistent fan issue.
- Engineer actions:
- Measure voltage at the fan connector during start-up; if present but fan does not run, replace the Main fan assembly.
- Check the fan speed feedback signal to the PCB; if absent, suspect the fan sensor.
- Inspect the flue for blockage or incorrect installation that could overload the fan.
- Test the PCB fan driver circuit and replace the Main control PCB if faulty.
