Possible Causes

Moisture intrusion into control panel, Loose ribbon cable, Failed keypad or display board, Electrical noise interference

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power before removing the front control panel.

  • Step 1 – Inspect for moisture: Remove the control panel and check for condensation or water droplets. Dry thoroughly and identify any source of leaks above.
  • Step 2 – Reseat ribbon cable: Disconnect and reconnect the flat ribbon cable between the control panel and main PCB, ensuring it is fully seated.
  • Step 3 – Check for physical damage: Look for cracked display glass or damaged buttons. Replace the control panel if damaged.
  • Step 4 – Test after reset: Restore power and test button response. If still unresponsive, the panel or PCB may require replacement.

Do not spray cleaners directly onto the control panel; apply to a cloth first to avoid moisture intrusion.
