Possible Causes
Incorrect feedback from gas valve, Loose gas valve connector, Control board communication fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF gas and power before touching the gas train. Do not attempt to calibrate gas components yourself.
- 1. Reseat gas valve connector: With power OFF, locate the multi-pin connector on the gas valve of the Noritz boiler. Unplug and replug it to ensure a solid connection.
- 2. Inspect harness: Check the harness from the gas valve to the control board for pinched or abraded sections.
- 3. Reset unit: Restore power and attempt to restart. If error 52 returns, internal gas valve electronics or the control board may be defective.
- 4. Call a technician: A licensed technician should perform voltage and resistance checks and replace the gas valve or control board as required.
