Possible Causes
Stuck diverter valve, Faulty diverter motor head, Sludge in valve body, Position microswitch failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate power and close isolation valves if removing any water components.
User checks:
- Observe whether hot water works but heating does not, or vice versa, and report this to the engineer.
Engineer checks:
- Manually exercise the diverter valve to see if it moves freely.
- Check the motorised head for operation when switching between DHW and CH demands.
- Inspect and clean the valve body if sludge is present; replace if seized.
- Test any position microswitches for continuity and replace the motor head if faulty.
Restoring correct diverter operation will usually clear E60 faults.
