Possible Causes
Pump not running or air‑locked, Blocked primary circuit, Closed valves near boiler, Incorrect pump speed setting
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and allow the boiler to cool.
Checks:
- Verify system pressure is correct and bleed air from the pump and radiators.
- Remove the pump vent screw (if fitted) and manually turn the pump shaft with a screwdriver to free it if seized. Replace the pump if it cannot be freed or is noisy.
- Ensure all isolation valves around the boiler and pump are open.
- Check for blocked strainers or filters and clean them.
After repair: Restore power, reset the boiler, and confirm that the temperature rises smoothly without triggering F24.
