How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Critical safety: Only a licensed gas technician may work on gas valves and combustion settings.
Checks:
- Inspect the gas valve and its electrical connector for damage or loose contacts.
- Measure the resistance of the gas valve coils and compare with Protherm specifications. Replace the gas valve if out of range.
- Check wiring continuity from the PCB to the gas valve.
- If the valve and wiring are OK, the PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
- After replacing the gas valve, perform full combustion setup and gas rate adjustment according to Protherm procedures.
