How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF power before touching the control board.
Steps:
- 1. Power cycle: Turn off the boiler at the service switch for at least 30 seconds, then restore power. Sometimes transient faults clear with a reset.
- 2. Inspect control connections: Remove and reseat multi-pin connectors on the Raypak control board one at a time. Ensure no pins are bent or corroded.
- 3. Check for moisture or corrosion: Look for signs of water leaks or condensation on the control. Address any source of moisture before replacing parts.
If A81 returns after reset and inspection, the control board likely needs replacement. This should be performed by a Raypak-authorized technician to ensure correct programming and setup.
