Possible Causes
Gas valve coil failure, Gas valve stuck closed, No gas supply or very low inlet pressure, Faulty wiring between PCB and gas valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Gas components must only be serviced by a qualified gas engineer. Turn off the boiler and close the gas isolation valve.
- Check other gas appliances: Confirm whether cookers or other boilers work. If all are off, contact your gas supplier.
- Verify gas isolation valve: Ensure the yellow lever valve under the boiler is fully open (in-line with the pipe).
- Engineer tasks: Measure inlet and burner pressure, test gas valve coils for correct resistance, check for 230V (or 24V depending on model) at the valve during ignition, and replace the gas valve if defective. Combustion must be checked after replacement.
