Possible Causes
Faulty DHW flow switch or turbine, Stuck diverter valve, Blocked plate heat exchanger, DHW NTC sensor failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate power and water before dismantling DHW components.
- Check DHW demand indication: When a hot tap is opened, the boiler display should show a DHW demand. If not, the flow sensor or switch may be faulty.
- Clean flow sensor: Remove and clean the DHW flow sensor/turbine of debris or scale.
- Diverter valve test: Feel the heating flow pipe when a hot tap is opened. If it gets hot instead of the DHW outlet, the diverter valve may be stuck and needs servicing or replacement.
- Professional repair: A technician should replace the faulty flow sensor, diverter valve, or plate heat exchanger as required.
