Possible Causes
Defective gas valve coil, Loose gas valve connector, PCB not supplying correct voltage to gas valve, Internal gas valve blockage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate gas and power. Gas valve work must be carried out by a Gas Safe / qualified engineer.
User-level checks:
- Confirm that the gas supply to the property is available and that the boiler's gas isolation valve is open.
Technical checks (engineer only):
- Measure voltage at the gas valve during ignition demand.
- Check coil resistance and continuity.
- Inspect wiring between PCB and gas valve.
- Replace the gas valve if defective and set burner pressures according to Saunier Duval specifications.
Warning: Do not attempt to open or adjust the gas valve yourself. This is a critical safety component.
