Possible Causes

Faulty keypad or encoder, Loose ribbon cable to PCB, Liquid ingress into control panel, PCB interface fault

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate power before removing the front panel.

  • Power cycle: Turn off the boiler at the fused spur for a few minutes, then restore power to see if controls recover.
  • Inspect control panel (engineer task): Remove the fascia and check the ribbon cable between the display/control board and main PCB. Reseat if loose.
  • Check for moisture: Look for signs of water ingress from above. Any leak must be fixed before replacing electronics.
  • Replace control panel or PCB: If the keypad or encoder is physically damaged or unresponsive, the engineer should replace the front control board or main PCB as appropriate.
