How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and gas. Combustion-related faults must be handled by a qualified engineer.
- Check flue terminal: Ensure the external flue is unobstructed.
- Engineer fan checks: The engineer should access the fan, check for free rotation, and verify that the speed sensor (if fitted) is connected and functioning.
- Measure fan speed feedback (engineer task): Using diagnostic mode or a multimeter, confirm that the PCB receives a valid speed signal from the fan. Replace the fan if the sensor is faulty.
- PCB diagnosis: If a known-good fan still results in E14, the main PCB may require replacement.
