How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Allow boiler to cool before bleeding or opening any components.
- Check system pressure: Ensure pressure is within the recommended range. Low pressure can cause airlocks and poor circulation.
- Bleed boiler and radiators: Bleed air from the boiler's automatic air vent (if fitted) and from radiators. Top up pressure as needed.
- Check pump speed: If the Thermona pump has selectable speeds, ensure it is not set to the lowest setting in a large system.
- Engineer tasks: A technician should inspect and clean the primary filter/strainer, check the flow switch or flow sensor operation, and verify pump performance. Replace the flow switch or pump if defective.
