Possible Causes
Failed DHW flow sensor, Stuck 3-way diverter valve, DHW sensor failure, Control not recognizing DHW demand
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and close water valves before removing any DHW components.
- Step 1 – Verify DHW demand: Open a hot water tap and check the Triangle Tube display for a DHW call icon. If no icon, the flow sensor may not be detecting flow.
- Step 2 – Clean flow sensor and inlet screen: Remove and clean the DHW flow sensor and cold inlet filter as per the manual.
- Step 3 – Check diverter valve (if equipped): On models with a 3-way valve, listen for the valve motor when DHW is called. If silent, the valve or actuator may be failed.
- Step 4 – Professional repair: A technician should test and replace the DHW flow sensor, diverter valve, or DHW sensor as needed.
