Possible Causes
Faulty fan motor, Blocked flue or air intake, Faulty air pressure switch, Blocked venturi or pressure tubing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off power and gas. Do not run the boiler with the case removed. Flue and combustion checks must be done by a Gas Safe engineer.
- Visual flue check: From outside, ensure the flue terminal is not obstructed by leaves, plastic bags, snow, or bird nests.
- Listen for fan: On reset, listen for the fan starting. If silent, the fan may be seized or not powered.
- Engineer checks:
- Inspect and clean the silicone tubes between the fan/venturi and the air pressure switch; ensure they are not split, kinked, or blocked with condensate.
- Test the air pressure switch for correct operation with a manometer and continuity tester.
- Check fan spins freely by hand and test for correct voltage supply from the PCB.
- Verify flue integrity and correct installation per Vokera instructions.
Because this fault affects safe combustion, do not bypass the air pressure switch. Contact a qualified engineer if the fault persists.
