How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate power and water before removing covers or pipework.
- Check DHW demand recognition: Open a hot tap and see if the boiler indicates DHW demand on the display. If not, the flow switch or sensor may be faulty.
- Inspect diverter valve: On combi systems, ensure the diverter valve moves when DHW is called. A stuck valve may need cleaning or replacement.
- Clean plate heat exchanger: If DHW flow is poor or temperature low, the plate heat exchanger may be scaled or blocked and should be chemically cleaned or replaced.
- Test DHW sensor: Check the DHW NTC as described in the DHW sensor fault section.
