How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate power immediately if water is leaking onto electrical components. Place a container or towels to catch drips.
- Do not remove combustion cover: Only a Gas Safe engineer should open the sealed chamber.
- Identify general area: If safe, look from below to see if the leak is from a specific corner (pump side, expansion vessel side, etc.) to inform the engineer.
- Turn off water if necessary: If the leak is heavy, close the cold feed and heating isolation valves under the boiler.
- Engineer tasks: An engineer should locate the exact source, replace the leaking component, and check system pressure and inhibitor levels.
