How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the carpet cleaner and lay it on its back for access.
- Remove bottom plate: Unscrew and remove the brush cover to expose the brush roll and belt.
- Clear debris: Cut away hair, threads, and fibers wrapped around the brush and end caps.
- Inspect and replace belt: Check the belt for cracks, glazing, or stretching. Replace with an AEG-compatible belt if worn or broken.
- Check brush bearings: Spin the brush by hand. If it feels rough or stiff, replace the brush roll assembly.
- Test brush motor: If the belt and brush are fine but still no rotation, test the brush motor for continuity and replace if open or seized.
Operating with a jammed brush can overheat and damage the motor and belt.
