Possible Causes

Clogged suction hose, Blocked floor nozzle, Full or incorrectly seated dirty water tank, Clogged motor filter

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the AEG carpet cleaner before cleaning internal parts.

  • Empty and re-seat dirty tank: Remove the recovery tank, empty it, and ensure the lid and seals are correctly fitted. Reinstall until it clicks.
  • Check hose and wand: Detach the hose and wand. Look through them against the light and remove any blockages using a flexible brush or straightened coat hanger (carefully).
  • Clean floor nozzle: Remove the nozzle and clear lint, hair, and debris from the suction channel and squeegee lips.
  • Clean or replace filters: Locate the motor pre-filter and exhaust filter. Wash foam filters with mild detergent and water, then dry completely. Replace paper or HEPA filters if heavily soiled.

After reassembly, test suction by placing your hand over the hose end. Strong suction should be felt; if not, the motor may be worn and require replacement.
