Possible Causes
Stuck control button, Damaged touch panel, Loose UI ribbon cable, Faulty user interface PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the carpet cleaner before opening the control panel.
- Check for child lock: Refer to the user manual to see if E11 indicates an active child lock. Try the specified button combination to disable it.
- Clean the control panel: Wipe the keypad or touch panel with a slightly damp cloth to remove detergent residue that may cause buttons to stick.
- Inspect for stuck buttons: Press each button individually and ensure it returns freely. If a button feels jammed, the keypad membrane may be damaged and require replacement.
- Check UI ribbon cable: Open the handle or top cover to access the user interface PCB. Ensure the flat ribbon cable is fully inserted and locked in its connector on both the UI and main PCB.
- Replace UI board if necessary: If E11 persists and physical inspection shows no issues, the user interface PCB may be faulty and should be replaced with an AEG-compatible module.
Avoid using excessive water when cleaning the control panel to prevent moisture ingress.
