Possible Causes

Broken tank magnet, Misaligned tank sensor, Faulty reed switch on body, Damaged tank latch mechanism

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the unit before inspecting sensors.

  • Re-seat the clean water tank: Remove and reinstall the tank firmly until it clicks. Ensure no debris is preventing full engagement.
  • Inspect tank magnet: Look for a small magnet embedded in the tank body or handle. If it is missing or loose, the sensor will not detect the tank. Replace the tank if the magnet cannot be resecured.
  • Check reed switch alignment: Inside the body, locate the reed switch that detects the tank magnet. Ensure it is positioned correctly and not bent away from the magnet path.
  • Test reed switch: Use a multimeter to check continuity while moving a magnet near the switch. Replace the reed switch if it does not respond.

Do not glue random magnets to the tank; use the correct AEG tank or magnet assembly to ensure proper operation.
