• 1. Check formula level: Ensure the formula tank contains Bissell-approved solution and is not empty.
• 2. Reseat formula tank: Remove and reinstall the tank firmly until it clicks into place.
• 3. Clean tank outlet: Rinse the bottom valve of the formula tank under warm water while pressing the valve stem to ensure free flow.
• 4. Inspect mix selector: On models with a mixing dial (e.g., heavy/normal/light), rotate it through all positions several times to free any stuck internal valve.
• 5. Internal line check: If accessible, trace the small formula line from the tank to the mixing chamber and clear any kinks or blockages. Replace the mix valve assembly if it is not routing formula correctly.
